Biography: Benson High School principal, 1961 to 1977. An Omaha U. graduate, he received his masters degree and doctorate from the University of Nebraska. His thesis on the Nebraska School Activities Association -- he served on the statewide governing board for nine years -- was the first definitive history of the group. He was assistant principal at Benson for one year before succeeding Earl Schroer. He encouraged the formation of the school's Honors Banquet and established a program in the humanities. UNO honored him as an outstanding alumnus in 1971 and he received its Order of the Tower in 1975. Died in 1991.
