Nine Benson High seniors were awarded $1,500 Alumni Association scholarships. This brings the total of scholarships awarded during the past years to $232,000 and 204 recipients.
Alumni scholarships for the Class of 2025:
Asmina Gurung, John C McElhaney Music Memorial Scholarship. “I will be attending UNO and plan to major in pre-med imaging.”
Hsa Tew, Shane Graeve Family & Benson Alumni Association Scholarship. “I plan to attend UNO and major in aviation to become a pilot after graduation.”
Bhujel Bandana, Charles “Chuck” Davey Memorial Scholarship. “I will be attending UNO. I want to major in neuroscience. After graduation, I hope to go to physician assistant school.”
Christian Nebu Tamanji, William F Nimtz Scholarship. “I will be attending UNO and major in cybersecurity. After college is still in question because of the many available opportunities.”
Bwe Mu Na Ku, Benson High School Alumni Association & Jacqueline Pospisil Scholarship. “I will be attending UNO, majoring in business administration. After college, I hope to open my own restaurant.”
Xavier Rodrigues, Benson High School Alumni Association & Fred Pisasale Memorial Scholarship. “I will be attending Hastings College. My major will be pre-med with a minor in psychology. After college, I hope to become a neurosurgeon.”
Cho Cho Than, John C McElhaney Memorial Music Scholarship. “I will be attending Wayne State College. I have a double major, criminal justice and political science. After college, I want to ste foot into a career of criminal justice as a police officer so I can get experience to help me achieve my main goal of becoming an FBI agent.”
KheJean Bennett, Benson High School Alumni Endowment Fund Scholarship. “I will be attending UNO. I want to major in molecular and biomedical biology on the pre-med Track. After graduation, attend medical school outside of Nebraska to be a doctor in cardiology and pediatrics.”
Paw Snow Wah, Benson High School Endowment Fund Scholarship. “I will be attending the College of Saint Mary. My major will be in human biology pursuing the occupational therapy pathway. After college, I want to go into the doctorate program at CSM for occupational therapy.”
