Virginia Maxwell, 89
Longtime Benson High school secretary Virginia Maxwell has died at age 89. Miss Maxwell “ran” the school, some have said, for more than 40 years, serving principals Mary McNamara, Earl Schroer, Howard Sorensen and Leslie George. Her funeral Mass will be 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at St. Cecilia’s Cathedral in Omaha. Survivors include two nieces and a nephew.
