Don Muenster, 77
Benson Hall of Famer Donald Muenster, Class of 1951, died on June 6 at age 77.
From his obituary:
Donald attended the University of Nebraska on a baseball and basketball
scholarship until he was drafted into the Army. While in the service he played
5th Army basketball. After the service he returned to Omaha and graduated from
Omaha University. He was a member of the Benson High School Hall of Fame and
co-owner of Hauff Sporting Goods. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward
and Ruth (Mattis) Muenster. He is survived by his wife Carol A. Muenster; sons
and daughters-in-law Brian and Elizabeth Muenster, Bruce and Tonja Muenster,
Brad and Angela Muenster; his brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Donna
Muenster; grandchildren Adam, Samantha, Dallas and Taylor Muenster; Marleen
Muenster, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
